You know autumn is finally here when Bonfire Night rolls around again. Make the most of the occasion and head to one of our city’s much-loved Bonfire Night celebrations.

There’s only one way to do Guy Fawkes Night in our opinion and that’s with lots of fireworks, a funfair and, of course, a huge bonfire.
These annual family celebrations are much-loved autumn events organised by Manchester City Council. Entry to all of the events is free with the fun kicking off at 5pm and coming to an end at 9.30pm.
Here are the all-important details to make sure your Bonfire Night 2018 goes off with a bang…
- Heaton Park | Monday 5 November | Funfair: 5 to 9.30pm. Bonfire: 7.30pm, followed by fireworks.
- Platt Fields Park | Monday 5 November | Funfair: 5 to 9.30pm. Bonfire: 7.30pm, followed by fireworks.
- Wythenshawe Park | Monday 5 November | Funfair: 5 to 9.30pm. Fireworks: 7.30pm, followed by bonfire.

Try to take public transport to the celebration to save being caught in traffic and missing all the fun.
Beat queues by leaving your bags at home as there will be searches in place.
Break out the winter coat, hat and gloves as it’s set to be chilly.
