Ducie Street welcomes new boutique hotel Dakota Manchester
The luxury boutique hotel brand has finally brought Dakota to the best city in the UK. Bringing together Mayfair charm and Manchester cool, Dakota marks a new chapter for Manchester’s hotel scene.
Adding something new to our city’s luxury hotel offering, Dakota Manchester will have some of the biggest hotel bedrooms and suites in the city. Dakota boasts 137 luxury bedrooms, including 27 suites. Here’s where it gets really special: if you want to go all out for a stay in Manchester’s city centre, Dakota’s penthouse the ‘Grand Deluxe’ is set to be the largest and most elegant suite in the city.
It’s all about the Grill at Dakota. No foodie fads here, at the heart of the hotel will be a buzzing brasserie that focuses on doing simple things brilliantly. When it comes to drinking and dining at Dakota, the Champagne room is a must-visit. This chic cocktail lounge is one place where a glass (or two) of bubbly goes down a treat. Cigar-lovers can even enjoy a Cuban in the custom designed cigar garden.
Dakota’s new home on Ducie Street might be the beginnings of this area becoming an upcoming, new neighbourhood. With close links to Piccadilly Station, Dakota Manchester will sit near the likes of hotel and all-day hangout London Warehouse (formerly The Place Aparthotel), opening in spring 2019.
Dakota Manchester will be the hotel brand’s fifth site. Evans Property Group and internationally renowned hotelier Ken McCulloch have come together for the new Manchester project. A peek at Dakota’s other locations in Edinburgh, Eurocentral, Glasgow and Leeds give us a glimpse of what we’re set to expect in our city.
Just like the 1936 aircraft that the hotel brand gets its name from, Dakota strives to do stylish service in luxurious surroundings at an affordable price. You’ll have to wait until summer to see what Dakota have in store for Manchester though as the hotel is set to open in May 2019.
