Their curried sweet potato, with spinach and toasted almonds, is perfect for those with a taste for toasty almond flavours – which you can also enjoy to a carafe of vegan wine!

However, that’s just the veganning. The Refuge’s other vegan dishes are just as tasty. You can choose from Beetroot pakora with tamarind ketchup, Portabello mushrooms or Daal Makhani (a mixed lentil curry).

Indian Street Food at Bundobust | 61 Piccadilly, Manchester M1 2AG

Featured in a Bloomberg article, ‘Around the World in 27 Burgers: The Best From Brooklyn to Bali‘, the ‘Vada Pav’ is an iconic Manc burger that you simply have to try.

The ‘Vada Pav’ is described as “Mumbai’s favourite burger“, filled with a deep-fried spicy mashed potato ball and served in a brioche bun with red and green chutney.

It’s the best of Mumbai in Manchester!

Burgers at Solita | Turner St, Manchester M4 1DW

The famous Big Manc at Solita in Manchester is another one of our city’s most iconic burgers. Solita’s own take on the high street fast food burger started as occasional special but soon became a showstopper on their menu!

With a burger as tall as 20 Stories, you’ll find it hard to finish but also hard to put down.
