Manchester has lots of hidden places but we’ve put together a few great dishes so the same doesn’t happen to our food. This one’s for the foodies of Manchester.

However, that’s just the veganning. The Refuge’s other vegan dishes are just as tasty. You can choose from Beetroot pakora with tamarind ketchup, Portabello mushrooms or Daal Makhani (a mixed lentil curry).
Featured in a Bloomberg article, ‘Around the World in 27 Burgers: The Best From Brooklyn to Bali‘, the ‘Vada Pav’ is an iconic Manc burger that you simply have to try.
The ‘Vada Pav’ is described as “Mumbai’s favourite burger“, filled with a deep-fried spicy mashed potato ball and served in a brioche bun with red and green chutney.

The famous Big Manc at Solita in Manchester is another one of our city’s most iconic burgers. Solita’s own take on the high street fast food burger started as occasional special but soon became a showstopper on their menu!
With a burger as tall as 20 Stories, you’ll find it hard to finish but also hard to put down.
