A-Guide to Float Festival
Discover what’s happening at Manchester’s very first wellbeing festival, Float Festival.
The brains behind wellness consultancy The Vibrancy Hub and culture marketing agency Yolk are on a mission to make Manchester feel good with the city’s first wellbeing festival, Float Festival.
Autumn is a huge period of change, so what better time of year to wind down from our summer adventures to rebalance and refocus for the coming months. Float Festival is bringing together mindfulness practitioners, yoga teachers, personal development gurus, foodies, artists and makers to revitalise us on 22nd September at Five Four Studios.
Forget about the idea of ‘wellness’ as being perfect, Float Festival is all about joy and self-love. Everyone from babies to grandparents can have fun, create and learn with this day of talks, activities and workshops.
Get some much-needed inspiration at one of Float’s talks. Find out how to shake up your daily grind at the ‘Leaving the 9-5’ panel with expert advice from freelance gurus, or tempt your taste buds at Float’s ‘Foodies’ panel.
From revitalising yoga classes to creative calligraphy and foodie fun, there’s lots of workshops on offer to open your mind. Put pen to paper with founders of Artsynibs Studios and create your own Insta-worthy quote or lift your mood with some big moves and even bigger tunes at Moonshine Yoga’s high-energy session.
For the Kids
There’s lots for the little ones at Float! Let the kids express their artistic side at a craft class as you embrace your inner child at the ‘Movement and Flow’ workshop
Split into two sessions, morning (10.00-14.00) and afternoon (14.00-18.00), Float Festival gives you the flexibility to fit in wellness around your busy schedule. From just £40, you can get stuck into a world of wellness with one workshop, one main stage talk, and a meal voucher. Float Festival is all about enriching Manchester so £5 from every ticket sale goes to charity Forever Manchester that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.
Go all out with a ‘Full Fat’ ticket for £63.11 at eventbrite.co.uk. This lets you enjoy all eight hours of fun; get access to three workshops of your choice along with a Float t-shirt and tote bag to remember your day by.
Want to take your little one? A parent and child ticket, from £63.11, promises three hours of special time for yourself and your child where you can recharge in some nostalgic workshops.
If you’re busy but still keen to go, the accessibility ticket lets you decide which day is best for you – just make sure you email your preferred time of day in advance.
