A-Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Networking Event

A-Magazine are committed to celebrating the best of Manchester so what better way to do this than with our very own networking events. We decided to kick off this new venture by recognising some of the most inspiring young people in the city – our 30 under 30s. A-Mag’s summer issue put a spotlight on these great Mancunians and the equally great work they’re doing, so this August we brought them together along with some of Manchester’s most influential business people for an evening of celebration and connection.
Nothing makes us here at A-Mag happier than connecting top-notch Manchester people and businesses, so we were thrilled to welcome teams from a range of industries across the city to Spinningfield’s All Work & Social, as well as our headline sponsor Engage Hub, an agency dedicated to social media engagement and influencer marketing.
Of course, this was networking done the A-Mag way, so our guests were treated to the signature A touch. Our guests met and mingled whilst sipping on ‘Giovanni Belinnis’ courtesy of much- loved Italian restaurant, Don Giovanni, and G‘n’Ts from Didsbury Gin, as well as tucking into delicious canapés from the team at Beastro owned by one of our very own 30 under 30s, Richard Brown.
During the night, we loved hearing what projects our 30 under 30s are working on since being featured in A-Magazine and to find out about the positive impact this has had on them and their businesses. Jolie Studio’s Franky Rousell said that since featuring in our summer issue she “has seen a huge increase in awareness about Jolie Studio, and [she’s] had lots of interest about [her] personal journey.” She and her business partner Chloé Cotard told us that they were even stopped in Selfridges and asked to sign a copy of A-Magazine.
Because our network, the A-Family, is made up of people who are passionate about what they do and passionate about our city, we felt it was a perfect match to partner with WorkFit, a branch of the Down’s Syndrome Association, as our chosen charity for the evening. WorkFit’s Employment Development Officer for the North West, Fran Austin shared with our guests the incredible work that the charity does by finding the right employment opportunities, for the right people, as a tailored service dedicated to training employers about the learning associated with people with Down’s syndrome.
We’re proud to have helped connect so many great Manchester businesspeople and to welcome them to the A-Family. We can’t wait to do it all again at our next networking event – watch this space!
