Thomas has over sixteen year’s experience in the hair and beauty industries. He has founded award-winning Staffordshire salon Touched Hair & Beauty, along with interior design and luxury furniture retail brand Touched Interiors, and new luxury on-demand beauty app Artisté with his partner Kunal Trehan.
What’s your most significant accomplishment to date?
Being able to successfully develop and launch our third company, Artisté, together with my partner, Kunal. Achieving this goal has been incredible and combines my two passions of delivering a great customer experience along with providing a personalised luxury service.
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from a different source than most. Rather than following trends from influencers, I find that the feedback I receive from conversing with clients and others in the industry are my main source of inspiration. I’m not afraid to try something different.
How has living in Manchester helped you achieve your goals?
Manchester is filled with diversity, culture and creativity. The city thrives with busy professionals and trend leading individuals who are constantly searching for the next best product or service. It’s this energy that drives me to bring new and innovative concepts to the market.
What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
Never lose focus on what you are trying to achieve, and don’t let anyone else’s perception of success impair your judgment or lead you into a path away from your goals and aspirations. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown your own inner voice.
What are your business goals for 2018?
To continue to perfect, expand and refine the services we offer to our clients in all three of our divisions. Artisté to continue its rollout throughout the UK and launch in new cities. Touched Hair & Beauty to expand its recently launched aesthetics division. And for Touched Interiors to launch its upcoming new collection which is going to be something completely different and very exciting.
Where do you see yourself in twenty years’ time?
A yacht with some sunshine would be nice. [Laughs] In 20 years, I would love to take a look back and reflect on the success of all my brands and just smile. If I can do that, it’s all gone to plan.
