How has working in Manchester helped you achieve your goals?
“I love the spirit of Manchester! So much about Manchester has inspired me. The energy, the history, the heritage, the old buildings, the new buildings, the wind, the rain, the sunshine, the music, the nightlife, the food, the factories, the people, the love. We act locally but think globally. There really is no place like here – it keeps me driven!”
What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
“I would remind myself that I am a valuable human being, even if no-one else tells me so. I would tell myself that I have too much to offer to the world to sell myself short. I would remind myself that I am a worthy person, but I would also tell myself that the only person who can give me more of what I need is myself. I would also give myself the following advice: treat others with respect, as you have to show respect to be respected. And finally, dare to dream big.”
